Choctaw could be and used to be a lot better run place, but looks like Winstar is the place to go now. We spent a Saturday and Sunday and part of Monday at Winstar and all 3 of the days it was busier than Choctaw on its best day of the year so I guess many others have the same experience that we did. Winstar was way better managed in every respect from food right down to even having a coat check.
If you're used to large casinos with a wide assortment of slot machines and table. The 'Casino' itself is not very large and has basically slot machines, and one blackjack table. We noticed that the slots were a lot more fun at Winstar as we saw way more winners, including ourselves. We tried the Choctaw Indian Gaming Center in McAlester, since we were staying the night. Winstar kept the whole place a comfortable temperature so you can wear anything you like while Choctaw keeps it freezing all yr long where you have to dress in heavy weight clothes and gloves etc. We haven't been going there those four weeks because Winstar casino, which is the same distance from Dallas as Choctaw, sent us a way better offer for two nights FREE room on any WEEKEND and $100 each in free play! After going to Winstar casino it was like night and day comparing the two casinos. We missed going to Choctaw casino for one month and got an offer from them saying they miss us and will give us a weekday room for $29 and an offer for $5 in free play.
